Geocaching

Geocaching is a somewhat geeky passtime but does at least get me outdoors from time to time :-) If you haven't come across it before, the idea is that you get some GPS coordinates from a website. Using those coordinates and a hand held GPS device you track down a small box which someone has left at that precise location. Once you've found it you fill in the log book contained in the box, and if you wish you make take an item that has been left in the box, so long as you replace it with something you have brought along. For more information, take a look at the Geocaching.com website.

I'm not the worlds biggest geocacher by any means, but it is a fun way to get outdoors every now and then. I've created this section of my website now that I've created my first geocache, and these pages will let you find out a bit more information about it, including photos from the cache camera.
